House Report 116-335 — the HPSCI majority Trump–Ukraine Impeachment Inquiry Report — lists Sean A. Misko among “Impeachment Inquiry Investigative Staff.” In the chairman’s acknowledgments, Adam Schiff writes that his “deepest gratitude” goes to a named group of Intelligence Committee staff that includes “Sean Misko.” Those lines appear in the official report on Congress.gov / GovInfo. A staff roster on a committee report is a documented staffing fact. It is not a finding that Misko originated the whistleblower complaint, met the complainant, or “hatched” the inquiry. HPSCI Democrats later said he was not assigned to Ukraine-impeachment work until late September 2019. Readers can hold the roster and the committee’s timing statement at the same time.

The Washington Examiner (Dec 3, 2019), citing the latest House quarterly Statement of Disbursements, reported that Sean Misko’s official HPSCI hire date was July 26, 2019 — the day after the July 25, 2019 Trump–Zelensky telephone conversation memorialized in the White House unclassified memorandum. HPSCI Democrats’ Jan 3, 2021 statement said the job was offered and accepted in May 2019 for Middle East work and that he “formally joined the Committee staff in July 2019” after Afghanistan-related government responsibilities. Those are payroll/committee-timing facts as reported and as the committee stated. They are not a finding that the hire was a crime, that he knew of Ukraine events in advance, or that he guided a whistleblower.

On January 3, 2021, HPSCI Democrats released “House Intelligence Committee Corrects the Record About False, Dangerous and Defamatory Attacks Against Staff.” The statement names Professional Staff Member Sean Misko and answers Washington Examiner, RealClearInvestigations, and Breitbart coverage by name. It states the attacks “are all false”; that the May 2019 offer / July 2019 join was Middle East–focused; that “Misko had no prior knowledge of events related to Ukraine”; that “Misko never met with or provided guidance to any whistleblowers regarding complaints they wished to file, including the anonymous Ukraine whistleblower”; and that he “was not assigned to work on and did no work related to what became the Ukraine impeachment inquiry until late September 2019.” It calls claims that staff “colluded” to “hatch an impeachment” or “coup” “totally baseless and false,” and the claim that Misko or Abigail Grace “plotted with other U.S. officials to ‘take out’ the President” “equally fanciful.” That is the committee’s on-record denial. The Atlantic Council expert page for Sean A. Misko describes him as serving as “the Director for Gulf States on the White House National Security Council,” previously a member of the State Department’s Policy Planning Staff advising Secretary Kerry on South Asia and the Middle East (og:description / meta description in the captured page HTML). That is an institutional think-tank biography of public roles. It is not a White House personnel folder and not proof of classified duties. Examiner reporting separately placed his NSC Gulf tenure roughly 2015 through the first half of 2018 — secondary date range. CNAS hosts a people page titled to Sean Misko (Next Generation fellowship lane in prior research notes); the 2026 capture did not lock a long static bio paragraph.

Fox News, reporting Twitter Files material, described a November 2020 request from Rep. Adam Schiff’s office asking Twitter to take action regarding alleged harassment against Schiff staff, including aide Sean Misko. Fox quoted request language asking Twitter to “Remove any and all content about Mr. Misko and other Committee staff from its service — to include quotes, retweets, and reactions to that content,” and to “Suspend the many accounts, including @GregRubini and @paulsperry, which have repeatedly promoted false QAnon conspiracies.” Epoch Times coverage likewise placed Schiff’s office among frequent requesters of removal/deamplification and noted Misko’s HPSCI tenure window as reported there. That is reporting of a congressional office request naming Misko as a staffer discussed in content. It is not a primary finding that Misko personally authored the request, that Twitter granted every ask, or that Misko’s “intent” was proven by screenshots alone.

That is a commercial congressional-staff directory listing, not a Senate employment PDF. Epoch Times’ Twitter Files recap reported HPSCI service under Schiff from July 2019 until September 2022 — secondary end-date reporting. A move from House to Senate intelligence staff is a chamber change on a related oversight beat. It is not a finding of new misconduct.
